Our Trip to Hamilton...20th -23rd January '06

Hi! We had our first big road trip over the weekend, a bit nerve wracking to think about but it all went so smoothly!! Noah was a wonderful little traveler. Sat in the back with Daddy and talked while Mummy drove! Kept Mummy's mind on the road and off the baby!!

We got all the way to Taupo without having to stop, then had an hour in Taupo beside the lake having lunch. Noah thought the lake was a wee bit chilly but enjoyed the views!!

Then we went on our merry way to Hamilton and got there also without having to stop! Noah slept for an hour and 25 minutes which is almost a daytime record for him!! We stayed with Jes' Aunty and Uncle in Hamilton, catching up with several of Jes' cousins while there, which was great.

On Saturday we went just out of Hamilton to the Clapsons house for Rose and Stuarts wedding, spent the morning helping set up the decorations and cleaning the house.

Jess then played hairdresser for Tonia and Jennie, doing their hair for the wedding!
The wedding itself was just beautiful, seeing Rose so happy with a lovely man is beyond words. Stuart is so good for her, a wonderful man who fits into our family so well.

Poppa walked Rose up the aisle, which he's been waiting to do for a long time!

Aren't they gorgeous!! Signing the register.

The reception was at the town hall in Cambridge. Absolutely lovely food, a great evening had by all. We went out infront of the hall and had a photo shoot with Jess and all her cousins, its a rare occasion that we are all together now, so we took the chance to remember it!

Bit of a mad bunch really!

On Sunday Jerry, Jess and Noah visited the Hamilton Zoo! Enjoyed very much by all 3 of us, Noah slept thru the second half and missed the Giraffes! But was most excited to see the rest of the animals!

Loved the Monkeys, and got very excited watching a Weka strut its way around its pen!

We visited the Hamilton Gardens which are just glorious, a must for all to see if you are passing, even if you don't like gardening!! Noah had a cool off in the paddling pool there!

We traveled home on Monday, getting to Taupo successfully, but the ride to Napier wasn't so smooth! Stopped several times, feeding and the likes!! But all be said a very successful and enjoyable trip away! A huge THANKS to Aunty Jo and Uncle Murray for having us to stay, it was such a relief to us that Noah was so settled at your house. THANKS!
